Mingle at the Mansion: Celestial Edition

May 3, 2024 | 7-9pm | Shaker Historical Society | TICKETS REQUIRED

The eclipse may be over, but we still look to the sky for inspiration! Astrologers, astronomers, and everyone in between are invited to Mingle at the Mansion: Celestial Edition on Friday, May 3 from 7-9pm. Enjoy themed drinks and create a moon suncatcher (embrace the oxymoron) in our 1910 mansion with our new exhibition Manifestation of Light: Exploring the Shakers' Celestial Inspiration. If you're feeling introspective, add a custom tarot reading with Abide Yoga Instructor Hayleigh Robertson.

Hayleigh is a trauma-informed movement facilitator, massage therapist, reiki master, artist and musician. Connecting to the present moment is at the root of both her group classes and 1:1 bodywork. She believes that the creative powers of art and storytelling that the tarot provides makes for an excellent tool to better connect with and understand the present. Her tarot readings aren’t predictive, instead she uses the archetypal meanings of each card to help reflect the here and now, giving whoever she’s reading for autonomous power of interpretation and possibilities.

This event is for ages 21+. General admission tickets are $30/person* for non-members and include suncatcher supplies and delicious celestial-themed appetizers and drinks. $50/person* tarot tickets include all of the above plus a 1:1 tarot reading with Hayleigh. Event attendance is limited, so purchase tickets today!

*SHS members, please email shakerhistory@shakerhistory.org for a discount code to save $10/person on general admission and tarot tickets!

Members-Only Tour: Manifestation of Light

May 16, 2024 | 7-8pm | Shaker Historical Society | REGISTRATION REQUIRED

Shaker Historical Society and Ohio History Connection members are invited to attend a members-only tour of our current exhibition, Manifestation of Light, led by curator Jess Fijalkovich on Thursday, May 16 at 7:00pm. From gift drawings to poetry to dance, the Shakers' relationship with celestial light and cosmic geometry is grounded in real-world skills and references, providing a captivating intersection of the heavens and earth.
