Shaker Heights Loses a Visionary - Steven A Minter

The Shaker Historical Society extends is sincerest condolences to all who knew Steve Minter, but especially to his family. We are all saddened by the news that he died on Thursday morning last week. Steve and his wife Dolly were two of the first Shaker Heights Visionaries honored at our annual benefit, Movers and Shakers, and their daughter Robyn Minter Smyers was the first child of a Shaker Heights Visionary to also be honored. We celebrated the Minters then for their community spirit, philanthropy and citizenship. Dorothy sadly died in 2017. Now Steve is with her. Words fail to express the loss to their family, to Shaker Heights and to Cleveland. Steve led the Cleveland Foundation for many years, and he was recently honored for his leading role as a philanthropist at the opening of the Celebrate Those Who Give Black exhibit at the Cleveland History Center.
