A Shaker Timeline
Shaker Inventions

This page allows you to dig a little deeper into the Shaker Heights story. At left is a link to an extensive timeline of significant events and people in the history of this place.

Also at left is a link to a document about Shaker inventions. Did you know that Sister Tabitha Babbitt of Harvard, Massachusetts invented the circular saw? Since the Shakers in America maintained close communication through correspondance and the publication of their journal, The Manifesto - inventions like Sister Tabitha's spread quickly to other Shaker villages like North Union!
